Urmas Viik (1961) is an interdisciplinary artist and book designer. He graduated in graphic arts from the Estonian Academy of Arts, and worked as a freelance artist thereafter. Since 2005, he has been a professor and head of the Graphics Department at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Viik has illustrated about 30 childrenās books. He was included on the 2010 IBBY Honour List, and has received several awards at annual illustration competitions.
