Piret Jaaks (1980) is an author and playwright. She graduated from the University of Tartu in theatre science in 2003 and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in drama at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Jaaks has worked at several theaters and teaches at the Drakadeemia creative writing school. She has written plays for children which have been staged at the Piip and Tuut Theatre, published short prose, literary reviews, articles, and worked as a literary editor.
