Daila Ozola (1969) is a translator of Estonian literature into Latvian. She was born to an Estonian mother and a Latvian (Latgalian) father. At home they spoke Estonian. After acquiring a bachelorās degree in nursery school teaching, she worked at a Waldorf kindergarten. In 2018, Ozola defended her masterās thesis titled āTranslationās Journey to the Reader: Estonian Childrenās Literature and Mika KerƤnenā. Concurrently, she began studying the practical translation of Estonian literature into Latvian from Contra, Guntars GodiÅÅ”, and Maima GrÄ«nberga.
