Synopsis

Have you ever studied the snowfall while walking in a wintery forest? Perhaps you’ve even noticed the tracks made by foxes, deer, squirrels, mice, or even moose? Who knows what the animals were up to or what they were thinking! Were they happy, sad, searching for adventure, or maybe even there just a moment ago?

Animal tracks are harder to spot in a summer forest, but stories may hide there as well. The Seal’s Problem / Tracks tells about a spider and a moose who befriend a seal.

Two songs by the celebrated Estonian bard Jaan Tätte have been transformed into a wonderful children’s book with lighthearted illustrations by Regina Lukk-Toompere. Its unique tête-bêche format allows readers to approach the tale from either direction.
