The events in Mika Keränen's fourth crime book,
The Mysterious Flower Snatcher, takes place the following year, when the children set to solving mysteries with new vigor. This time, the action happens on several fronts. Mari starts football practices, where she is the goalkeeper for a boy's team. While traveling to matches in another town, she helps to uncover who has stolen one hundred euros from her teammate. Mari has to cope with the facts that she is the only girl on the team, and the the assistant coach isn't exactly the nicest man around. Additionally, there is an air of distrust among the team after the theft. However, the heaviest question weighing on the girl's heart is which beloved hobby to continue spending her time on â ballet or football?
The Finnish presidential couple is coming to visit Supilinn together with their daugher Tiina, and flowers have started to disappear from the town's flowerbeds in the run-up to the festivities. The club members help their gardener friends solve the mystery, snack on carrots with the President's daughter, and go for a ride in the presidential bodyguards' car of wonders.
